Twitter is ready to start an embeddable tweet feature. This feature will allow users to use twitter references in the same way as YouTube, Vimeo, Soundcloud and any other web tool do.
With the new function people will be able to paste the link directly on their blogs, stories etc. There would be no need to copy paste the tweet which had to be done earlier. It will be possible to generate simple, selectable flat-HTML tweets. The tweet will look like a screen grab of the twitted text where the quoted text can be highlighted as well. Just a click on the highlighted text will land up people on the person’s profile whose tweet has been quoted.
Embed tweet function will also avoid tweets getting misquoted. Twitter feels it will have a greater appeal to the readers as they would be able to click on the HTML link and know more about the person whose tweet is being talked about.
The media will be quite happy with this new feature as they will no longer have to take the screen grabs or copy paste the tweets.
